What is SfN 2026?

Neuroscience 2026, the Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), held November 14–18, 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Its exhibit hall gathers the companies that sell to neuroscience labs, and its Graduate School Fair the universities recruiting neuroscience students.

What is in this guide?

Every organization we can place at SfN 2026: the institutions of the 9,718 talks and posters in SfN’s Neuroscience Meeting Planner (8,637 of them posters), each under its presenting author’s first institution; 422 exhibitors with their booth numbers; and the 80 universities and institutes recruiting students at the Graduate School Fair with their table numbers — 1,867 organizations in one list, each typed, with a short description for 1841. Presenters appear as a count, never by name.

When is the exhibit hall open?

The exhibit hall is open Sunday through Wednesday, November 15–18, 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m. (Eastern). The Graduate School Fair runs Saturday, November 14, 1–3 p.m., and Sunday through Tuesday, November 15–17, noon–2 p.m. (Eastern). Fair table numbers are not booth numbers: a program at table 43 is not at Booth 43.

Where is the program?

In SfN’s Neuroscience Meeting Planner, which needs no login to browse. Every talk and poster in this guide links to its own page there, under the institution its presenting author lists first; late-breaking abstracts join when SfN publishes them.

Where does this list come from?

SfN’s own public exhibit floor plan, which lists each exhibitor’s name and booth number and each Graduate School Fair program’s table, and its Neuroscience Meeting Planner, which lists every talk and poster with its presenting author’s institution. SfN has exhibitor profiles switched off this year, so the type, research areas, website and short description of each organization were judged from its own website and what is well established about it. Nothing here requires a login.

How are organizations typed?

By what each organization sells or does for a neuroscience lab: microscopy and imaging, electrophysiology and neurotechnology, antibodies and reagents, omics, animal models and behavior systems, other lab equipment, software, contract research and services; the drug developers presenting their own research; then the universities and research institutes, hospitals, societies, agencies and publishers. SfN published no exhibitor profiles this year, so the type and the research-area tags (at most three each) are judged from each organization’s own website and what is well established about it.

How current is it?

Pulled from the public floor plan and the Neuroscience Meeting Planner on October 9, 2026. Exhibitors keep signing up until the meeting and SfN adds its late-breaking abstracts closer to it, so the lists will grow. SfN had exhibitor profiles switched off when this guide was built; if it publishes them, the guide will add what each exhibitor says about itself.

Why are there no names?

This guide is about which organizations are in the room, not which people. It never publishes a person’s name.
