What conference is this?
The ESMO Congress is the European Society for Medical Oncology’s annual meeting, held October 23–27, 2026 at IFEMA in Madrid — Europe’s largest oncology congress, with about 37,000 participants. It brings together medical oncologists, cancer researchers, oncology nurses and the pharma, biotech and diagnostics companies that serve them, across educational sessions, proffered-paper and rapid-oral abstract sessions, special symposia, industry satellite symposia and an exhibition.
What is in this guide?
Every organization we can place at ESMO 2026: the institutions of 1,135 faculty, chairs and presenting authors from the Final Programme (1,733 sessions and talks), plus the 235 exhibitors and 6 more industry satellite sponsors — 736 organizations in one list. People appear as a count, never by name. Poster authors’ institutions are published on October 19 and will be added then.
How are organizations typed?
By the role an organization plays in cancer care and oncology drug development: drug developers (large pharma and biotech), diagnostics and tools, CROs, medical education and other services, cancer centres and hospitals, universities and institutes, and societies and non-profits. The tumour-type filters come from ESMO’s own tumour-site tags on each session, and otherwise from the session’s title.
How current is it?
Pulled from the ESMO Congress 2026 Final Programme (updated September 29, with the late-breaking abstracts and their presenting authors), ESMO’s public session data and the Exhibitor List on September 29, 2026. Poster authors are not yet public.
